2. What installation surface do I use?
Our structures are versatile, meaning we can install on almost any level surface.  We can certify your building with mobile home augers, expansion bolts, or asphalt anchors.  Each of these methods will certify your structure for 140 mph wind load, and 35 psf ground snow load.  Our buildings are designed with an anchoring effect, which means the weight of your structure is pushed down towards the Earth via the leg and truss design,  The baserails help to distribute the weight evenly to the ground.

3.

..Can I install on any surface?  With our certified structures, we can install on basically any surface granted that it can be appropriately anchored.   While concrete is ideal for longevity, we do gravel, asphalt, and bare ground installations.

4. What does certified mean?  Certified means our buildings are designed by a licensed engineer to meet or exceed your local building code.  While certification is definitely the best route to take, we do offer uncertified structures.  They will be reliably built, and done properly, but will not be wind rated, or snow rated.  We recommend certifying for the obvious benefits.

5. What if my snowload/windload fall outside of the abovementioned range of 145mph windloads, and 35 psf(Pounds per sq. ft) snowloads respectively?  In this event, it is required that you purchase plans called site specifics.  Site specific engineering means an engineer designed your structure for your exact location specifically.  This is the case in areas prone to risk of bad winds, or heavy snowfall.   In order to certify your structure and to pass your building departments code requirements, it is required that we consult our engineer to assist with your project.   They will be providing you with Engineer Stamped Plans designed specifically for your building exactly as it sits.

6.When Can I expect my building? Carport Doctor generally provides structures within 1-3 weeks weather permitting.  This time starts when your installation surface is ready and level.   We guarantee this delivery time, and assure to take care of you promptly.

7. What materials do you use? We use 14g or 12g steel metal tubing.  It measures 2.5"x2.5"x the desired length/height/width.   We use steel for the entire project, and refuse to cut costs purchasing cheaper, imported materials.  Our structures are 100% American made, formed, and installed.  We offer luxury buildings, not your typical small builds.

8. What is a barndominium?  A barndominium is a metal structure designed to be a home.   They are increasingly popular, and offer a great alternative to your typical stick built home.   There are some limitations, but for the most part, if it can be built safely, then it will be built by us.
